Dr. Robert S. Falk is licensed as both a Clinical Psychologist and a School Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia, He provides psychological services for children, adolescents, adults, and families and is a founding partner of Dominion Behavioral Healthcare. He completed his School Psychology training at Radford University (M.S., Ed.S.) with additional graduate work at The College of William and Mary. He gained experience as a school psychologist in Virginia and North Carolina before returning to school to earn the Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1988 at Virginia Commonwealth University following completion of his internship at the Medical College of Virginia, Department of Psychiatry

Among his areas of special interest are the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety disorders, including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Disorder, Social and Specific Phobias, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. He is the director of the DBH OCD Treatment Team and runs a monthly support group for adults with OCD. Dr. Falk also has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder, conduct and behavioral problems in children and adolescents, learning disabilities, and Asperger’s Disorder and is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP). Dr. Falk is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine where he has supervised psychiatric residents in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and presented seminars to psychiatric residents and clinical psychology interns. He has supervised clinical and counseling psychology doctoral students in psychological assessment and taught courses in human development, stress management, psychological testing, and personality assessment within the Department of Psychology at VCU. Dr. Falk was appointed to the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Board of Psychology by Governor Mark Warner in 2004.
